Button Art

Button Art sculptures exist all over Gwinnett County - there are over 200 of them!  The idea of Button Art was inspired by Gwinnett County’s 200th birthday celebration.  Why buttons?  Gwinnett County is named for Mr. Button Gwinnett - an original signer of the Declaration of Independence.

In 2019 and 2020,  Button Art Inc. worked with the Peachtree Corners Arts Council to encourage and aid in the installation of four button art sculptures in Peachtree Corners.   The Arts Council recruited Peachtree Corners resident Lance Campbell to design the artwork for our buttons - each button reflecting its installation location.  The locations for the art installations were chosen with the help of our Public Art Initiative which identifies Public Art Opportunity Zones around the city.

The button sculpture at the base of the Peachtree Corners Bridge and Botanical Garden Walk focuses on the notion of the many branches of Peachtree Corners residents that bind together to form the magnificent ‘tree’ that is the city Peachtree Corners.

The buttons at the Crooked Creek Multi-Use Trail and the Peachtree Parkway Engineering Drive Trail Hub reflect friends and families delighting in the outdoor amenities of our multi-use trail system.

The Technology Park Multi-Use Trail button nods to the immense foundation of technology that contributed to the birth of our city - and to its continued presence in ongoing technological advances.

Take a walk on the multi-use trails and the botanical garden walk and enjoy the Button Art designed specifically for our Peachtree Corners community.
